The Eastbourne Shed

The Eastbourne Shed provides a place where men and women can come along and take part in activities similar to what you do in your own garden shed but with other like minded people supplying good company.

There will  be mixed sessions for men and women so everyone can join in.

Our projects will include:

Woodworking and carving

Model making

Engine restoration

Refurbishing old tools and machines

Personal projects such as mending broken objects or building a display cabinet

Model railway making

Community projects such as building bird tables for nursing homes

Inter-generational and skill share projects

A typical ‘shed’ workshop provides the normal woodworking and metalworking tools and equipment (as well as tea, coffee and biscuits), to enable ‘shedders’ to use their existing skills, learn new ones, share skills, develop interests and get involved in productive activities, while enjoying the benefits of working in a social group. It’s open to everyone over 50.

Age Concern Eastbourne Shed group will be starting in the New Year.

Does this sound like something you would like to be part of?
