Grandparents as Parents Support Group

The GAP support group is an independent resource for grandparents who look after grandchildren under the age of 16 in a permanent or temporary capacity and who would like information or support regarding the role.

GAP exists to provide this service for grandparents recognising that all too often, grandparents receive no real help, advice or support when they take on this vital role.

So if you find yourself in this position and you would like to meet others who can:

  • Listen sympathetically and impartially
  • Provide information and advice
  • Help you access financial help if appropriate to your circumstances
  • Help you contact other support groups

The group meets monthly, on a Thursday morning.
